Are you ready for beauty that doesn’t fade away? Would you like to go swimming or exercise and not worry that your eyeliner will smear? At Point Clear Studio, we provide a customized approach to your permanent eyeliner service. You may be looking for a naturally enhanced lash line or desire a more dramatic effect with gorgeous shading and winged eyeliner. There are 3 different types of eyeliner services that are tailored to meet your desired look.
Permanent Lash Enhancement is the most natural permanent eyeliner and places pigment between the lash line only. A lash enhancement can be done on its own and is included in all other eyeliner services. This is a subtle eyeliner enhancement that is best for clients who desire a touch more definition around the lash line only.
Permanent Soft Top Liner includes a lash enhancement but also places pigment above the lash line. You may choose to add the option of a small wing to add more dimension. The wing is placed on the outside edge of the lash and gives the illusion of longer lashes at the corner.
Permanent Shadow Liner combines the lash enhancement and soft top liner by placing pigment between the lashes and on top of the lash line. A super soft and beautiful shading is also added above the lashes and eyelid creating a smoky look using micro pixels. There is also the option of including a wing to this service to create more dimension to your beautiful, shaded eyelids.
Make sure you arrive to your visit with clean eyes including no mascara or eyeliner. Eyelash extensions must be removed 1-2 days prior to the procedure. You must wait until your permanent eyeliner is healed before resuming use. Contact lenses must be removed prior to your visit. You must wait 24 hours before resuming use. Please bring glasses for your appointment.
There are additional waiting periods before we can perform permeant makeup. If you have received Lasik or cataract surgery, permeant makeup cannot be performed 1 month before or 3 months after surgery. If you have used Latisse or any eyelash boosting product, the waiting period is 4 weeks. If you have a Stye or Chalazion, the waiting period is 2 weeks from time of healing. There are several conditions that require medical clearance from a doctor including: Glaucoma, Grave’s Disease, Blepharitis, or an eye-opening lift.
There are additional reasons why your permeant makeup may not be performed or medical conditions that require approval from your doctor. There are additional reasons why permeant makeup services may also be delayed.
Your appointment starts with a consultation to discuss the liner color and thickness preferences. We mix, map and personalize the eyeliner contour and shading that is right for you. We will apply a topical anesthetic to minimize pain and then use an advanced micro shading technique for the final design and application. The eyeliner procedure usually takes 2—3 hours in total to complete. The permanent soft top liner and shadow liner usually take more than one appointment to achieve optimal results. There is usually some temporary swelling that will fade shortly after your service.
Your eyeliner color will be approximately 30% darker initially than when fully healed. The eyeliner may appear slightly larger for the first few days. This is due to color oxidation as well as a small amount of swelling and it is a normal part of your healing process. You will have no trouble driving home and going about the rest of your day.
You may wake up slightly puffy, but you can remedy this by sleeping on an incline or applying a cool compress. Your eyeliner will feel tight and dry but should not be painful. Around day 3-5, your eyeliner will begin flaking until there is no scabbing left. You want to allow healing to shed naturally. Once all the scabbing has finished flaking, it is common for the color to appear lighter. This is only temporary as your freshly healed skin is hiding the true color underneath. Over the next 28 days, your eyeliner color will bloom.
There are specific aftercare instructions that you will need to be aware of following your permanent eyeliner appointment. Due to bacteria, avoid eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara for 3- 4 weeks. Avoid eye creams, Latisse, and lash growth products. Absolutely no lash tinting, extensions, or false eyelashes for 3 weeks. Avoid rubbing your eyes.
Your sclera or white area of the eyeball should not become red. You must seek medical attention immediately if you see signs of bloodshot eyes or drainage. This may be a sign of infection requiring a physician and prescription medication.
